THE CHRONOS PRIZE - COMMUNICATIONS TOOLS

The Internet site : www.prix-chronos.org
In 1999, the Chronos Prize created its own web site to facilitate exchanges between its various players.

Chronos press relations
Regular contact with the press is planned, including press releases and press packs.

Presence of Chronos in book fairs
- The Seine-Saint-Denis Youth Book Fair with a stand and various activities, a conference with the participation of authors of children's literature on the theme of the Chronos Prize, book signings, etc. In 1999, 1200 young people came to make drawings on the stand about "a person in the four stages of life, as a youth, a young adult, a middle-aged adult and an elderly person".
- The Paris Book Fair is the final stage in the Chronos Prize, including the awarding of the Prizes before an audience of 300 young people and well-known figures from the world of culture and gerontology as well as Chronos partners.
THE CHRONOS PRIZE - PRESTIGIOUS PARTNERS

The Ministries are prestigious partners.
The Chronos Prize also has support from private sector enterprises, including Pfizer, Eisai, pension funds, and companies such as the SNCF.
We are seeking partnerships in the banking and financial sector.
PROJECTS FOR THE THIRD MILLENNIUM

The social and cultural sides of the Chronos Prize act in synergy, which is helping change the way growing older is viewed today.
The challenge of the 21st century will be to help the Prize grow exponentially, which reflects the expectations of young people, their adult milieu, and senior citizens.
The Chronos Prize is now part of a process of growing awareness that starts with young readers aged 4 to 14 and reaches up to embrace their parents and teachers as well as senior citizens.
Meetings between different generations are now fashionable and on the rise. Often these meetings simply bring young people and seniors together in the same place, in illusory meetings of the mind. Without preparing the young people and discussing the theme "Growing up means growing older, growing older means growing up", exchanges tend to be schematic and barren.
Social cohesion requires that everyone, including the very young, think about life's changes.
This is the understanding we have reached after 12 years of experience.
We thus aim :
- to meet the hopes of the 50,000 readers expected,
- to involve senior citizens in reading Chronos literature,
- to promote this theme using media besides books, particularly songs and films.

We want everyone to be able to say:
"After all, there's nothing wrong with being old"
